Obituary of Kenneth Victor Hayden
Kenneth Victor “Paul” Hayden, 86, Sylvester, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Wendell Frederick and Eva Pearl (Frazee) Hayden. Paul was a welder for Trenton works for many years. After retirement he enjoyed gardening, growing both flowers and vegetables and he spent many hours cutting wood for his family, as well as others. He was a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow. He was a very hard worker, a kind and generous man who always made sure those who needed help, received it.
Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth; daughter, Terry Hayden (Graham Hines), Greenhill; son, Shawn (Suzanne) Misener, Greenspoint ; grandchildren Ryan, Jordan, Blake, Hannah, and Lochlan; Sisters, Florence Hayden, New Glasgow; Carol Campbell, New Glasgow; Wayne (Beverley) Hayden, Pictou Landing; Leamon (Lynn) Hayden, Pictou Landing Road; Gary Hayden, Sylvester; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Patricia Ann, son Kenneth Darrell and honorary brother George Frazee.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. Monday, January 6 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 7 with Rev. Caroline Barclay officiating. Interment will in Hillside Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Canadian Lung Association .
