Ken’s great journey in life has come to an end at 89 years old. He passed peacefully with his daughters by his side. His family are sad to see him go and will miss him terribly. His infectious smile, laugh, and dry sense of humour will be a memory forever cherished.
Ken was predeceased by his wife Odette Rogers, and was a loving Father to Gloria Young and Valery Krumme (Doug). Adored Pappy to Ronnine Elston (Mark), Mike Hallam, Cody Krumme, and Matthew Collett. And Great-Pappy to Maddy, Logan, Roman, Dominick and Carter. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Violet (Anderson) Rogers.
Ken was a loving brother to Bertha Vickerman (Don), Barb Phillips (Wayne), Sharron Godin, and Walter Rogers (Judy). Predeceased by his siblings Alfred (Sonny) Rogers (Marg), Richard (Snooky) Rogers (Helen), Jean Rivard (Clark), Art Rogers, Betty Maynard (Casey) and Judy Middleton (Gary). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with wonderful memories.
Ken spent his working years doing what he loved. Working with Unions, The Health & Safety Board, and the Worker’s Compensation Board. He was always trying to make a difference. He had a great love for golf and worked at the Thames Valley Golf Course in his retirement. He often enjoyed his favorite watering hole, the Wortley Road House, where he had many friends to raise a pint with. And Friday nights were always saved for his beloved London Knights games with friends or family.
As per Ken’s wishes, there will be no funeral. However, to honour Ken’s character, there will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 25th 1:00 – 4:00pm, Victory Legion, 311 Oakland Ave, London. Cash bar and light lunch. Join us as we come together to celebrate Ken and his remarkable life!
