He was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Thomas George Garland Turnbull and Olive Gertrude Turnbull (Dunkley). Ken emigrated to Canada in 1950 and served domestically and overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After leaving the military, he started working for SaskMutual in Saskatoon, which is where he met his future wife, Betty Turnbull (Hall). He married Betty on June 16, 1962, in Grace United Church in Saskatoon. Ken was an avid reader, and loved golfing, camping, and fishing. Ken had retail management experience with Woolco, Woolworth’s, WalMart, and Canadian Tire. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Wendy (Don), and Andrea (Michael); brother, Phil (Marion); sister, Sheila; grandson, Quinton (Melissa); and numerous relatives and friends; including his caregiver of three years, Patrick.
At Ken’s request, no formal service will take place. Interment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon.
