He was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Thomas George Garland Turnbull and Olive Gertrude Turnbull (Dunkley). Ken emigrated to Canada in 1950 and served domestically and overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After leaving the military, he started working for SaskMutual in Saskatoon, which is where he met his future wife, Betty Turnbull (Hall). Ken had retail management experience with Woolco, Woolworth’s, WalMart, and Canadian Tire. In his later years, he developed an affinity for A&W breakfasts with his neighbour, Ken, chocolate, and wine-making. Ken was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Betty.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Wendy (Don), and Andrea (Michael); brother, Phil (Marion); sister, Sheila; grandson, Quinton (Melissa); and numerous relatives and friends; including his caregiver of three years, Patrick.
At Ken’s request, no formal service will take place. Interment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon.
