Bastin, Ken “Kenny” George
Died suddenly at his home on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the age of 80.
Ken, of Wasaga Beach, was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Eileen Bastin, and his brother Normie and nephew Shawn. He is survived by his children DeAnna and T.C., his siblings Myrna, Karen (Val), Gary and Marion (late Colin); his nieces Michelle, Leanne and nephew Brandon. He will also be missed by his extended family and friends.
Ken was a jockey and horse trainer/owner in his younger years, which allowed him to travel on the circuits both in Canada and the USA. Later in life he was a truck driver. He loved being by the water and enjoyed scuba diving. His greatest love was his dog Buddy, who predeceased him.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Beacon Restaurant, 146 45th Street North, Wasaga Beach on Thursday April 10, 2025 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ken to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
