Obituary of Kelly Anne Lowry
Kelly Anne Lowry, nee Bolt
Kelly Bolt was born in Orangeville, Ontario on the first day of spring March 21, 1959. She liked to tease that her father wanted to call her “springbolt”. So that became her email address when the internet arrived in her lifetime. She died at home on the family farm in Arva on Sunday February 2, 2025, at age 65.
Adored partner of Graeme Weldon Lowry, daughter of Loretta Louise Thompson (d. 2008) and Gerald Richard Bolt. Sister of Candace Lynne Thomson, Grant David Bolt and Gerald Paul Bolt.
Kelly is survived by her three sons Mackenzie Ben Lowry of Arva, Russell Graeme Lowry (m. Sarah Elizabeth Lowry) of LaSalle, and Richard Hugh Lowry of London. Kelly liked to be called Nana and doted on her grandchildren in Lasalle: Everett James Lowry and Beau Haw Lowry.
Kelly attended the College of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. She met Graeme on a ski weekend in 1987 and they were rarely separated thereafter. Her work ethic was extraordinary, maintaining a lifelong career in pharmacy and raising three sons. Kelly loved to cross-country ski, downhill ski and garden. Our farm was a lush paradise under her green thumb and loving touch.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, February 7th, from 2-4 o’clock and 7-9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th, at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 21557 Richmond Street, Arva, Ontario (corner of Richmond Street and Medway Road) at 10 am. Donations to St. John the Divine Anglican Church, Arva would be appreciated.
