Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kazimiera (Kazia) Belza, who left us unexpectedly on February 4th, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Kazia was born on December 13, 1943, in Dubno, Poland, and spent her early years in a German concentration camp. At the age of 49, she left her busy life in Lubin, Poland, and joined her children, Robert and Beata, in Canada in 1992. From that moment, she dedicated her life to helping her children and her cherished grandsons—Michael, Anthony, and Robert Jr.
Kazia had a deep love for books, movies, and crosswords. In her final decade, living independently, she developed a new passion for watching sports, with tennis becoming her favorite. Kazia was known for her positive outlook on life, her infectious laughter, and her ability to always find joy in the smallest moments. She never complained and spoke kindly of others, always seeing the good in people. Above all, Kazia’s love for her grandsons was boundless, and she constantly found ways to support and help her family.
We will miss her laughter, the early morning birthday calls at 7 am, and yes, even her not-always-perfect cakes. But most of all, we will miss our dear mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. Her presence in our lives will never be forgotten, and her love will remain in our hearts forever.
