Katherine succumbed to an acute catastrophic event related to pregnancy.
She was the youngest daughter born to Joel and Nicole Gosselin. She was a quiet, playful, happy child. Her devoted sisters Vivian, Lynne and Claire were her playmates, role models, and confidants. Her loss has created a profound void that will be filled with cherished memories of special family dinners, reunions at the cottage, playing strategic games, shopping sprees, and shared laughter. Catherine was an integral part of our family. Jomon Joy (Lynne), Justin Sxeeczyk (Claire) and Inès Rousseau (Vivian) are deeply saddened by her loss. She loved children and took great delight in playing with niece and nephew Penelope and Alex.
Her innate artistic talent and creativity guided her to study architecture at U of M and green space design at RRCC. Fiercely independent and driven to succeed, she established her own business “In Good Nature” as a garden designer. Her lovely flower beds and butterfly gardens can be found in residential yards, clinics, and retirement homes throughout the city.
Her beautiful blue eyes, her ready smile, and quick humour welcomed anyone who entered her sphere. Generous of spirit, Katherine would readily help you design a room, do your make up and hair, give gardening advice. Her hands were always open.
Catherine was elated to have found the love of her life Paul Bouvier. Their special bond was based on friendship, respect, love, and their own unique sense of humor. They joyfully anticipated their marriage and the arrival of their first child this spring. Little Frederick is thriving in the NICU.
We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude:
to Dr. Ben and the ICU team, Dr. Antella and Dr. Benning for their attentive care and valiant efforts,
to all the nurses for their professionalism and the respect of her dignity,
to the organ transplant team for their diligence and perseverance.
We thank you for your kindness and solitude in our grief.
“The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” Psalm 34:18
“so you will sorrow now, but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you” John 16:22
