Katharina (Kaethe) Fieguth

Katharina (Kaethe) Fieguth, beloved mother, Oma, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, at the age of 99. Born in Schoenau, Russia, to Jacob and Katharina Enns, she lived a life defined by resilience, faith, and love.
After immigrating to Canada, Katharina married Werner Fieguth on August 3, 1963. Together, they built a life of dedication and service, working side by side at Crest Furniture & Upholstery. Katharina’s exceptional sewing abilities shared with the Niagara United Mennonite Church’s quilting group, brought warmth and hope to those in need through MCC. Her baking and holiday traditions enriched countless family gatherings.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Harry Werner Fieguth, daughter-in-law Emily Fieguth and her grandsons, Braeden and Logan, who knew her as “Oma”. Katharina’s life was a testament to quiet strength and unwavering kindness. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on January 8, 2025 at [11:30 am]. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
