Karl Otto Olsen Obituary
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital with his family at his side, Karl Olsen passed away on Saturday April 26, 2025. Beloved husband of Lisa for 26 years. Loving father to Erik and Branden.
Karl was predeceased by his parents Hans and Sheila Olsen. He will be deeply missed by his brother Bjorn Olsen and his sister Erna St.Amand (Bob), his mother-in-law Shirley Cheek (late Tom Cheek), brothers-in-law Tom Cheek(Lisa) and Jeff Cheek (Amanda), his nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues and their dog Zoey.
Karl grew up in the Toronto area and loved spending time at the family cottage. He loved to water ski and fish. He was a member of The Bruce Trail Club where he spent many hours hiking and enjoying nature. Karl was a jack of all trades, he could fix anything. He loved watching movies, washing his car, but most of all he loved going to the hockey rink and baseball diamond to cheer on his boys. Karl enjoyed working for IKEA as a Construction Project Manager for the past13 years.
In accordance to Karl’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 1pm-3pm at the Olsens’ house.
