Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the age of 73. Loving mother of Suzanne (Joe) MacPherson, and Donald (BillieJo) MacPherson. Cherished grandmother of Logan, Lillian, Brianna, Jaden, and Piper. Forever missed by her great grandchildren River, Allister, and Emerson. Survived by her sisters-in-law Bonnie and Nan. Predeceased by her parents George and Olive Mitchell, and her siblings Kathryn, Dennis, and David. Greatly loved by her nephew, many nieces, extended family and friends.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Karen lived for her family and her love and support for all of them knew no bounds. Her family and many friends were her greatest joy and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Karen had a strong work ethic and was a true example of integrity, hard work, and dedication spending a total of 53 years in the electronics industry with 40 of those years being at Guildline Instrumemts . During her career she formed lasting bonds and friendships that will be forever remembered.
Beyond her family Karen had a strong passion for staying active and living life to the fullest. She was an avid golfer, and also had a passion for pickleball. She would spend countless hours on the course and court making new friends and lifelong memories along the way.
Her contagious enthusiasm, kind heart and humble spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.
Whether at work, on the golf course, pickleball court or most importantly in the presence of her family, Karen always radiated warmth, a love like no other and a zest for life that inspired many who knew her
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at Bayshore Health Care for their exceptional care and compassion during Mom’s final days. Your kindness, empathy, and dedication to your patients are a testament to the true spirit of nursing. Thank you for being a source of comfort and strength to our family during this very difficult time.
As per Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
