Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, with the love of her family surrounding her, on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the age of 61 years.
Karen VanderHeyden (nee Buckland), affectionately known by family and close friends as Willy, currently residing in Eganville, formerly of Renfrew and Halifax, Nova Scotia, partner in life and beloved wife of 40 years to Mark VanderHeyden. Best friend and loving mother of Niki Kyler (Garion) and Cody VanderHeyden. Nana to Raymond John R.J. Sorrowfully mourned by her parents Garfield and Sylvia Buckland (nee Petrie) and brother Gary Buckland (Mary) of Nova Scotia. Her presence is missed by her beloved feline baby, Moose. Predeceased by sister Suzanne Buckland.
The family is privately celebrating her life. An interment will take place with family in Halifax. Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
