In Celebration of
Jurgis Kiskunas
April 23, 1925 –
February 28, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Father. Jurgis passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, in his hundredth year. He is survived by his daughter Dale (Normand), his son Vidas (Christina), and his daughter Rasa (Victor). He was predeceased by his loving wife Terese, and all his siblings.
In his final years, Jurgis was cared for by the amazing staff at Westpark Healthcare Centre, where he left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He leaves behind nine grandchildren: David, Paul, Mark, Mathew, Lina, Tomas, Michael, Alexandra and Tor, and ten great grandchildren: Constantin, Maximillien, Maude, Charles, Zachary, Colin, Rowan, Georgia, Violet and Lily.
Originally from Lithuania he led a full life in Canada. He loved singing with the choir Aras and was known as a hard-working person always willing to help others. He was a knife-sharpener extraordinaire and a master of inventing his own tools with seemingly everyday household items. A Jack-of-all-trades, he had an eye for precision and built everything to withstand the test of time.
Jurgis was a gentle soul who will be missed dearly.
