Bochsler, Julia Rita “Maureen” (nee Ford)
We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother Maureen at Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the age of 83. She was the devoted wife of the late Albert Bochsler for 58 years. Her journey in this world as a devout Catholic and member of the St. Ann Community has now come to an end. She is now also reunited with her parents, Edward and Loretto Ford, and her second mother, her aunt, Margaret “Nana” Ford. Proud and loving mother of Mark (Sandra Leuba), Colleen Forte (Terry Zytaruk), Paul, David, Kathleen Bochsler (Dave Salonen), Kevin (Alison nee Massey). Devoted Grandma to Amelia, Noah, Christopher, Beetle, Liam, Lucas, Jakob, Jaden, Carter, Kylie, Nolan and Ryan. Maureen is survived by her sister Nora Corsini (the late Rudy) her brother and sister-in law Mike and Karen Ford, her sister-in-law Marjory Ford (the late Pat) and her brother in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Doreen Bochsler as well as dozens and dozens of nieces and nephews. Cherished cousin to Marianne (Larry) Havers. She is predeceased by her siblings, Catherine (Bernie) Gallagher, Ed (Eleanor), Loretto Ann (Gerry) Beninger, Marcy Berry, Helen (Jack) Barry, Colleen (Bob) Dean, Rosalie, John, Dan, Sister Loretto “Mildred”, Jackie (Bernie) Mathews and her cousins, Margaret-Anne (Earl) Cranfield and Rosemary (Tom) Watson. Maureen was a retired nurse, first as a pediatric nurse and later as a psychiatric nurse. She loved helping people and found her career very rewarding. Maureen was a very gifted pianist and even in her final days she brought joy to others with her piano playing. Maureen was devoted to her family. We will miss her infectious laugh, her wonderful hugs, her sage advice, and her silly sense of humour. The family wishes to acknowledge the incredible staff at John Noble Home. Thank you for treating our mother with love, dignity and kindness.
Visitors will be received at P.X Dermody Funeral home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell), Hamilton, Ontario on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
