Passed peacefully away at Pte Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion on Saturday, June 7, 2025, with her family by her side, Judy (Short) Button of Hant’s Harbour, age 73 years.
Predeceased by her parents: Wesley and Marion Short; sister: Shirley; brother-in-law: Alfred Button; sister-in-law: Margaret Short.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her partner: Boyd Hopkins; three children: Claude (Sharon) Button, Kimberley (Michael) Green, and Jason (Joanne) Button; six grandchildren: Michael (Miranda) Green, Jonathan (Kayla) Green, Jessie Button, Emily Button, and Nathan Button; five great-grandchildren: Ethan, Amelia, Jayden, Noah, and Jacob; brother: Carman Short of Hant’s Harbour; sister: Daisy (Robert) Burden of Innisfil, Ontario; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Judy was born in Hant’s Harbour August 17, 1951, the youngest of 4 children. She raised her family in Hant’s Harbour. She enjoyed music, loved to sing and play, and enjoyed attending church. She loved to have company and always enjoyed having people around. She really looked forward to her sister, Daisy, visiting from Ontario. She always thought of others and was sure to bring a lemon pie whenever she visited friends and family.
Visitation at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton on Tuesday, June 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11 from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
Funeral to take place at the Salvation Army Lower Trinity Bay Corps, Winterton on Wednesday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment in Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery, Hant’s Harbour.
