Obituary of Judith Mae Nolan
It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt pain to announce that Judi Nolan, with God’s blessing and grace, peacefully passed away at home with her beloved husband, best friend, and soulmate of 45 years, Jim, by her side, on March 17, 2025 (St. Patrick’s Day), at the age of 76. Predeceased by her father James Adair Templeton. Judi leaves behind her husband, Jim, of 39 wonderful years of marriage, with an abundance of love and devotion. Survived by her mother Norma Templeton, sister Nancy (Michael) Grant, brother Tom (Lilia) Templeton, and her adored nieces and nephews.
Judi was born in Chatham, Ontario and grew up in Port Lampton, Ontario. She graduated in 1968 from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and practiced her nursing until her retirement in 2006, from the Palliative Care Unit, at Parkwood Hospital. Judi’s colleagues and patients all recognized her skills, dedication, and compassion, which she so willingly shared.
Judi and Jim shared a life full of love and laughter and cherished their life on their hobby farm in Mt. Brydges with horses and all manner of barnyard critters, until moving to Strathroy where Judi nurtured her abundance of beautiful flower gardens and vegetables.
Judi and Jim loved to travel, especially by cruise ships, to such destinations as Alaska, the Baltic, Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Central and South Africa, as well as all of Canada from coast to coast.
Judi and Jim wish to thank their dear friends and neighbours with whom they shared so many memories filled with love and laughter.
Special thanks to the incredible Dr. Theo Karaouzas, PSWs Maryanne and Sarah, ParaMed daily visiting nurse Stephanie, for their care, which was paramount.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm, in the Caradoc Room at Denning’s of Strathroy. Words of remembrance will take place at 3pm.
