It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Judith Ann Van Norman (nee Temple) on Monday April 7th 2025, in her 85th year. Born on September 21, 1939, in Copper Cliff Ontario to parents Margaret and Norman Temple. She passed away peacefully at Elliot Lake Manor.
Beloved wife of John (Jack) Van Norman (predeceased), she is survived by her children Monica Eluik (predeceased Wayne Eluik); Chris Van Norman (Debbie);John Van Norman (Jeannine); Michael Van Norman (predeceased Tania); Sharon Storoz (Dennis); Sonya Van Norman
Dear sister to Margaret Hardy (late Dave); Barb Heikkila (Jorma); Liz (predeceased) Brian Rogers. And many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy was a kind and generous soul, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality.
Judy lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and preserves. Her homemade dishes were always the highlight of many gatherings.
Rest In peace, dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
The family would like to thank all the nursing staff of Elliot Lake Manor, for all their care, compassion, and support towards Judy. A private family service will be held at a later date.
