Joyce (Jocelyn) Wilkinson July 20, 1944 – January 9, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce (Jocelyn) Wilkinson, who left us on January 9th, 2025, at the age of 80.
Leaving behind a legacy of love that touched four generations of family. Joyce found her soulmate in Kenneth Wilkinson, who stood faithfully by her side for 56 cherished years. Those who knew Joyce will remember her fierce spirit, her unwavering determination, and the boundless love she poured into her family. During her working years, Joyce brought warmth and dedication to her role as a housekeeper at Leisure World. But her true calling was always family – the moments shared with her husband, the memories created with her children, and the joy she found in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jo-Anne her siblings and parents. She leaves behind a tapestry of love woven through generations: her devoted husband Kenneth Wilkinson; her daughter Donna St-Pierre (Alain St-Pierre); her son Gary Wilkinson; A proud grandmother, Joyce delighted in her grandchildren Vanessa Smith (Devin Smith), Brandon Wilkinson (Laurisa Lougheed), Cassandra Clayton (Blair Clayton), and AJ Levesque-St-Pierre. Her joy multiplied with her great-grandchildren Levi, Scarlett, Riley, Jackson, Gray, Violet, Winter, and Kenzly, each of whom brought special brightness to her life. and carrying on holding a piece of her heart.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Algonquin Nursing Home, whose dedication and care made Joyce’s final chapter peaceful and dignified. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Algonquin Mattawa Nursing Home, continuing Joyce’s legacy of caring for others.
Joyce, There are no goodbyes. Wherever you are, you will always remain in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
