Joyce Marilyn Coulter Obituary
Coulter, Joyce Marilyn (1936-2025)
Passed away in West Kelowna on January 22, 2025, at the age of 88.
Joyce was born and raised in Summerland. She moved to Halifax with her parents in the early 1950’s, during which time she obtained her nursing degree. She then returned to Penticton and was a nurse at the Penticton hospital where she also met her future husband Warren (1933-2003), they were married in 1960.
Joyce & Warren moved to Kelowna in 1969. They eventually had two stores in Orchard Park, Coulter’s Shoes & the Naturalizer Shoe store, which they ran until the late 1990’s. For many years, they were also very active in the Kelowna Kinsmen and Kinettes, where they made many friends and memories.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Lynne (Stewart), son Geoff (Cheryl); her grandchildren: Shawna, Steve, Mike & Tyler; as well as two great grandchildren, Hailey and Hudson.
A celebration of life service will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC would be appreciated.
