Joyce Aitken Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Summit Place Lodge on Friday, January 17, 2025. Born in St. Vincent Township on Friday, September 12, 1930, Victoria “Joyce” Aitken (formerly Reid, nee Bumstead) of Owen Sound was in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Aitken (1984) and Jerry Reid (1971). Loving mother of Terry and Brian (Denise) Reid, and loving stepmother to Janine Gardner (Bill) all of Owen Sound. Cherished grandmother of Jerry Reid (Tori) of Collingwood and Jessica Reid of Toronto. Dear sister of Faye, Stuart, June, Glenn and Elda. Joyce will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents David and Margaret Bumstead and siblings Edythe, Ken, David, Maurice, Murray, Verna, Marilyn and Ross.
A come and go memorial visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday, January 24th, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 3:15 p.m.
