It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joy Claudette Bull, aged 66, of Glenwood, Newfoundland. Joy passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2025.
Joy was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, unwavering strength, and infectious laughter. Her smile could brighten any room, and she had a special way of bringing joy to those she loved.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Keith Hiscock; her parents, Eva Eveleigh and Harvey Head; her sister Florence; and her brothers Gordon and Aubrey.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughters, Joanne (Doug) and Melissa (Rudd), who were her world. She also leaves behind her cherished step-sons, Tony (Janet) and Michael (Karen) and her adored grandchildren, Stephen (Hannah), Bradly (Victoria), Lucas, Brody, Henry, and Granddaughter Georgia, along with her precious great-grandson, Denver. She will be dearly missed by her sister Rose; brothers: Tony (Raggie), Whip (Linda), and Albert; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Her beloved cat, Precious, was always by her side.
A special thank you to her beautiful niece Tina, and dear friends Mona, Kim, and Karen, who were always there for her and brought so much happiness into her life. In her memory, keep the tradition of Thursday night cards alive.
Family will receive friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander, on Thursday, March 6, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, March 7, at 3:00 p.m. in Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joy’s memory may be made to the Gander and Area SPCA, 36 McCurdy Dr., Gander, NL, A1V 1A2.
