Joseph Clarence Savoie
1930-2025
It is with sadness, we announce
Joseph Clarence Savoie’s passing on February 11th, 2025, at 94. Joseph
was born on August 8th, 1930, in Tracadie, New Brunswick, to Alfred
and Clementine (Nee Hachey).
He is survived by children Laurie
Zwarych (Ray), Andrew (Johanne), Mike, Wilma Boyd (Kelly), Richard
(Donna), Hugh, and Roni-Sue Moran (Andy) by sister Orida and brothers
Fred (Karen); Richard (Mack) (Bonnie) and 13 Grandchildren and 19
Great Grandchildren.
Clarence was preceded in death by
his ex-wife, Christine Ann Shaw; son David Allen; father, Joseph
Alfred; mother, Marie Clementine (Hachey); sisters, Viola Rowe,
Lillian Jackson, and Della Mary Stephen; and brothers, Babe (Anthony)
and Clifford.
Clarence was known for his love of
carpentry and construction, his unwavering attention to detail, and
his pride in work accomplished. He was particularly proud that he was
commissioned to build some of the first Irving Oil gas stations, and
the fact that KC Irving stopped by the house for coffee and
donuts.
Clarence was a foreman for various
firms on several major construction sites in the Windsor, Ontario,
region. He eventually formed his own construction company in Windsor.
Clarence also enjoyed playing golf occasionally.
There will be no service or
funeral, and instead of donations, we ask that you take the time to
love, be kind, and understanding, and spread joy and
happiness.
