Obituary for José Humberto Morais Teixeira
April 2, 1950 – February 9, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of José Humberto Morais Teixeira at the age of 74.
José was born on April 2, 1950, in Paradela, Portugal. He was the third of ten siblings. After serving in the army in Angola, he spent time in France before immigrating to Canada.
He made his home in Vancouver, where he worked in concrete for nearly 40 years. José enjoyed spending much of his time in local cafes, keeping up with his favourite soccer team, FC Porto and connecting with his great nieces and nephews.
José was a quiet, kind-hearted man who will be remembered for his calm nature and relaxed presence.
He is survived by his nine siblings as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family in Canada and Portugal.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
É com profunda tristeza que anunciamos o falecimento de José Humberto Morais Teixeira, aos 74 anos.
O José nasceu a 2 de abril de 1950, em Paradela, Portugal. Era o terceiro de dez irmãos. Depois de servir no exército em Angola, passou algum tempo em França antes de emigrar para o Canadá.
Estabeleceu-se em Vancouver, onde trabalhou durante quase 40 anos no setor de betão. O José gostava de passar grande parte do seu tempo nos cafés da comunidade, acompanhando o seu clube de futebol do coração, o FC Porto, e convivendo com os seus sobrinhos-netos.
