1937 – 2024
William Harry Jones passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28 at 3:24 am at the CHUS Fleurimont, while holding the hands of his loving daughter Angie and granddaughter Kait, and after sharing a beautiful goodbye with his lovely wife of almost 57 years.
He was the son of the late Clark Jones and the late Alice Stewart. Predeceased by his sisters Alberta, Rheta & Dorothy and brothers Burchill & Wesley.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Marilyn nee Lawrence, daughter Angie (Eddy Whitcher), granddaughter Kait Houley, great granddaughter Octavia, and foster daughters Joan and Shirley Larue, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at the Cass Funeral Home,545 rue Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E0 on January 18 ,2024 from 9 to 11 am, followed by a small service for family and close friends.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the ICU-Cardio unit at the Chus Fleurimont hospital for the exceptional care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2630 rue King O, Sherbrooke, QC, J1J 2H1 would be appreciated.
There are no adequate words to describe Bill’s essence but to say he will be missed is an understatement. Forever in our hearts.
