It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John William Cain on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
John was predeceased by the love of his life Carol, his wonderful friend Sylvia McKeen, his brother David (Marg) and sisters Marguerite (Harold-deceased) Crawford and Joan (Doug) Cutler.
He is survived by his sons, John (MaryAnn) and Tom (Trish), his grandsons, Matthew (Lori), Micheal (Kisa), Jessy (Emily), Josh, Russell and Steven and great-granddaughters, Soley, Evelyn and Eleanor.
John leaves behind his siblings, Kim, Karen, Terry, Timmy, Susan and Danny as well as many nieces and nephews.
Thank-you to Jack and Aline for your support and being with John until his passing.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 21st, from 9:30am – 10:30am at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, followed by a graveside service at Pinecrest Cemetery. After the service, please join the family for a reception in the Pinecrest Visitation Centre.
The family would like to thank the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice for their respectful and compassionate care of John.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Ottawa Humane Society , the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice.
