He passed just days before his 88th birthday, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, and a spirit that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
John was married to his beloved wife, Lois Mandryk, for 68 years. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. He was a devoted father to Shane Mandryk, Lori Mandryk, and Randy Mandryk, and a proud grandfather to Karly Zenkawich, Samantha Mandryk, Madison Mandryk, Jordan Mandryk, Eddie Mandryk, and Nicholas Mandryk. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished each moment spent with them.

He was known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to his business endeavors, including owning and operating the Transit Hotel and BJ’s Bottle Depot. His business acumen and loyalty to his customers earned him respect in the community.
John’s impact was felt far and wide, and he will be remembered for his, sense of humour, and zest for life. He left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at a later date. He will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association, an organization that is near and dear to the Mandryk family.
