Ross: John William
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Ross on February 26th, 2025, at Baycrest Palliative Care in Toronto, with his family by his side.
John was predeceased by his father, William Ross, and his mother, Irene Ross. He is survived by his brother, David Ross (Nora), and his sister, Marlene Hoover (Rick). His memory will be cherished by his extended family, including his nephews Timothy Ross and Daniel Hoover (Alicia), nieces Ruth Santos and Christina Catling (Sam), great-nephews Jordan, Harrison, Adam, and Oakley, great-nieces Sarah, Madison, Isabela, Sophie, and Emma, as well as great-great-nephew Viktor and great-great-nieces Zoe, Nova, and Autumn. John will also be fondly remembered by his cousins Ian Elliott (Denise) and Paul Elliott.
A devoted man of faith, driven by sharing his passion and message with his beautiful singing voice. John leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, captured in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
John will be deeply missed by his neighbors, friends, and business associates, whose lives he touched with kindness and sincerity.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham, (905-936-3477) on Wednesday March 5, 2025, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday March 6, 2025 at 11:00am. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Cliffside Hall.
