It is with great sadness we announce that John James Sokol of Medicine Hat passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 86 years. A devoted brother, uncle, and friend, John is survived by his two brothers, one sister, a sister-in-law as well as numerous nieces, nephews and life-long friend, Bob Lentz, who will all cherish his memory forever. A longtime member of the Moose Lodge, John was deeply involved in his community, always ready to lend a helping hand. Above all, John was family-oriented, finding joy in the love and connection he shared with those closest to him. He will be greatly missed. Dignified cremation has taken place and a celebration of John’s life will be held at a future date in Cadillac, SK. Those wishing to remember John may do so through donations to the Moose Lodge #1073.
