It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of John Michael Ducey of Keels NL – A loved and dear friend to many.
John is predeceased by his father Everett and mother Nora of Keels Nl.
While making his eternal journey John leaves behind 3 children, Damien, Kyle and Emma as well as his uncle Phonse and aunt Marg, his aunt Linda, all of his cousins and other family as well as numerous friends. Lastly but not least he leaves behind his loving partner Sandra and her family who John become part of these last years. John loved and cared for her deeply and was happy in their journey together. There is much sadness at this time and he will be truly missed by many.
John made his living on the water fishing for many years after he took over from his father and worked with numerous people and had many acquaintances. I know John would like to say thank you to everyone he worked with and most recently to his buddy William (Bill), they spent alot of time together.
John was outgoing and was definitely always up for a good time. He lived his life how he wanted for sure and was proud of his community. He cherished and cared for his mother Nora and was there with her his entire life until her passing. John will be laid to rest next to his mom as he requested and know he will be at peace being there.
John will be laid to rest at the King’s Cove Roman Catholic Cemetery on Friday February 21st at 2 pm.
As per John’s request there will be no viewing or funeral service just a prayer at burial. Everyone is welcome to attend.
He will be missed by all and may he have eternal rest.
