With both deep sorrow at our loss and heartfelt gratitude to our Good God, we announce the passing of John Matthew Orr on April 2, 2025 – beloved husband, incomparable Dad, and best Pops. Surrounded by love, graced with peace, and with immense dignity, John died as he had lived. Always deriving his greatest joy from his family, John blessed all he encountered with his quiet gentleness, striking sense of humour, and faithful witness. John is survived by the love of his life and wife of 52 years, Connie, their two daughters, Allison (Sam) Lee and Patricia (Jeff) Kavanagh, and 12 grandchildren (Isaac, Theo, Ambrose, Xaveria, Jacob, Gabriel, James, Benjamin, John, Joseph, Samuel, Anthony). Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre (519 Victoria St. E., Alliston) on Sunday, April 6th from 6-8 p.m.; the Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Parish (190 King St. S., Alliston) on Monday, April 7th at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the parish hall. As expressions of sympathy please offer Masses for the repose of John’s soul, and/or donate to the Immaculate Conception Building Fund, and/or Share Life.
