John Joseph Dobroshinsky Obituary
DOBROSHINSKY, John Joseph, passed away at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in his 85th year. John was a quiet and generous man known for his numerous talents and varied interests. By trade, he was a commercial electrician and the owner of Newcastle Electric; he was also a ham radio operator, guitarist, hunter, fisherman, builder, canoeist, photographer, skilled painter, carver, and a breeder of birds, dogs, fish, and horses. Many of his hobbies were linked to the outdoors and spending time with animals. Nevertheless, his enduring passion was his horses and the joy he experienced on his farm property in Northern Ontario (Chisholm).
He was the cherished husband of the late Sally Dobroshinsky for 60 years. John will be forever remembered by his children: Lori Schuett and her husband John, Leslie Wardley and her spouse Pascal Giasson, and Rob Dobroshinsky. He was a loving grandfather to Jake Schuett and his wife Michelle, Joshua Schuett, Zachary Schuett, Calvin Wardley and his wife Leigh, and Robbie Dobroshinsky, and he was predeceased by his granddaughter Kristin Wardley. He was a great-grandfather to JJ, Eden, Magdalene, Michael, Isabelle, Alina, and Serenity. John is survived by his brother Ted (Jeanette) Dobroshinsky and sister Betty Moorby, and he was predeceased by his sister Barbara Buyalski and brothers-in-law Clarke Buyalski and Bill Moorby. Cremation will take place. A funeral ceremony will be held at the Weaver Life Centre, 77 Second Street, Campbellford, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with a reception to follow. A recording of the service will be available on the Weaver website following the service. The family would like to thank all the staff at Island Park Retirement for their care and compassion during John’s time there.
