Deyoung, John Alfred
“Fred” of Pomquet Point passed away on
Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at home.
Born in
Antigonish, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Rouleau)
Deyoung.
Alfred worked
at St. Martha’s Hospital for forty-five years. He
enjoyed cooking and going to dances.
He is survived
by his sister, Rita; brother, George both from Pomquet and sister Lena
(Leo) Lenders, Antigonish.
He was
predeceased by his brother, Joseph, sister-in-law, Rachel and nephew,
Leo.
In keeping
with Alfred’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
Funeral service will be held in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College
Street, Antigonish on Tuesday, March 4th at
10:00 am with Deacon Art Riley presiding. Burial in Ste
Croix Cemetery at a later date.
The family
would like to thank VON, Antigonish for the wonderful care they
provided to Alfred.
