It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Albert Hargreaves, a kind and thoughtful soul, on January 25th, 2025.
John was the loving son of the late Albert and Joan Hargreaves and a cherished brother to Scott Hargreaves. He will be deeply missed by his nephew Maximilian and niece Jacquiline, who will always remember him fondly.
John found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid reader who loved escaping into the imaginative worlds of science fiction. He had a refined appreciation for fine food, savoring each unique experience. Above all, John adored his feline companions, who brought him endless comfort and companionship.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Smith LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock, ON.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory can be made to the Woodstock Kitten Nursery and Rescue, a cause close to his heart. Personal condolences may be shared at www.smithleroy.com.
John will be remembered for his kind spirit, love of books, and deep affection for his family and beloved cats. He will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
