It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our
beloved son and brother, John “Johnny” A. Dillman, on
February 17, 2025, at Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen, New
Brunswick. Johnny passed peacefully with his special mom, Brenda, by
his side.
Johnny was born in 1967 at Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick and
he was predeceased by his biological parents, Mary L. (Higgins)
Dillman of Orillia, Ontario, and Henry A. Dillman of St. George, New
Brunswick, his special father, Sherman VanHorn, as well as, his
sisters, Madonna and Lily Rose.
Johnny had a deep love for country music, kitchen parties,
karaoke, and good food, always surrounding himself with good people
and good times. He was well known for his infectious smile and
laughter, bringing joy to everyone around him.
He is survived by his special mum, Brenda McLaughlin (Joe) of
St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and his sister, Doris “Dory” M.
Higgins (Rick) of Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick, along with many close
family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
As per Johnny’s wishes, there will be no formal
funeral. A celebration of his life will be held at a later
date.
