With sadness we announce that João Azevedo passed away peacefully at the age of 90, at St. George Care Community in Toronto. Husband of the late Folimana Pereira and son of the late José Teixeira Azevedo and Agelina Alves de Sousa. Father of Maria (Paul) Foster, Cidalia (Terry) Wilson, Jorge (Bonny) Azevedo, Gorete (Jeff) Sitzes, Marlene Azevedo and the late João Azevedo, the late Fernando Azevedo and the late Jose Azevedo. Dear Avô of 11 grandchildren and bisavo of 6 great grandchildren.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 11am until 12:45pm. His Holy Mass of the Resurrection will be held directly following at Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 1pm followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery. Donations for masses to be offered for the soul of Joᾶo are greatly appreciated or to Kent Lambton Roman Catholic Family of Parishes – Our Lady Help of Christians Altar Society.
