Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Joanne Lynn Stephenson (nee Noyes), of Mt. Hope, Ontario, passed away on February 4, 2025 in Hamilton, Ontario. Joanne was born on April 20, 1959 to Maurice and Ethel Noyes in Strathroy, Ontario, and married the love of her life James (Jim) Stephenson on April 16, 1983. Joanne is survived by her husband Jim, sons Lee (Jess) and Ryan (Ashley), grandchildren Finley, Lily, Eva, and Ripley, and sisters Janice (Dave) and Joyce. She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Ethel Noyes. Known for her kindness, warmth, grace, and humour, Joanne will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Joanne was a devoted wife and mother, and an amazing grandmother. She was an avid gardener and seamstress, and enjoyed travelling with family and friends. She worked as a dental hygienist, and in recent years retired to spend more time with her grandchildren. Joanne’s family was the most important thing to her. The love she had for Jim, Lee, Ryan, Finley, Lily, Eva, and Ripley was unmatched. She will live on through the love that they have shared. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joanne’s life with those who knew her best. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Miller Funeral Chapel, 28 Caithness Street, East, Caledonia. Funeral Service will be in the Chapel at 2:00pm. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 154 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Memorial donations can be made to the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation.
