Mrs. Joanne Elizabeth Jegou passed away at home on December 29, 2024 surrounded by her family. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Jo at the age of 67 years. Joanne was born in Dauphin, Manitoba to her parents Emil and Elizabeth Yaceyko on December 9, 1957.
Jo is survived by her loving husband Ed of forty-nine years along with her children: Eddie (Jerri) Jegou and Tammy (Shaun) Clark, and by her beloved grandchildren: Riley (Rayel), Taylor (Sam), Karmyn (Cole), Trevin, Shayla (Justin) and Emma as well as the great grandchildren: Layton, Lukas, Kyro and Cooper.She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Elizabeth Yaceyko, her sister, Marion Reno, her brother, John Yaceyko, her sister, Pauline Brown, brother, Mike Yaceyko and brother Peter Yaceyko as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law. Joanne was predeceased by her father Emil.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #104 on January 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Joanne’s honor may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada Southern Alberta Branch 6007 1a St SW, Calgary, Alberta, T2H 0G5 or at kidney.ca/ or the Alberta Diabetes Foundation 8602 112 St NW.
