Obituary of Joan Marie Kelly
KELLY, Joan Marie – Age 69 of Halifax.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joan Marie Kelly on January 28, 2025 at Hospice Halifax. Born in Halifax on November 29, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Adrian and Madonna (Doody) Kelly. Joan will be remembered for her resilient fighting spirit. She lived her life the way she wanted to. She will be missed by her co-workers at Sobeys, and a few friends at the Green Street Co-op. Giant Tiger Boutique will never be the same.
Joan is survived by family members in Newfoundland, including special cousins, Beatie and Phil; special friends in Halifax, Nancy & Jimmy, Joy, Alicia; and honorary grandbaby, Camira.
Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. In keeping with Joan’s wishes, there is no visitation or funeral service. Joan’s loved ones would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to staff at Hospice Halifax for going above and beyond in their excellent care of Joan.
