WOOD, Joan Veronica (nee McElroy) – passed away at the Parkview Meadows Christian Retirement Village, Townsend on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 in her 83rd year. Loving mother of the late Martin Wood (2016), his wife Wanda of Bolton and Richard Wood (Maria Mendes-Wood) of Vittoria. Cherished grandmother of Mathew & Christofer. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her brother John McElroy (late Sharon) of Burlington and by her nephew Mark Shoesmith of Mississauga. Predeceased by her sister Mary Shoesmith and by brothers Peter & Gerry McElroy. A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date. The JASON SMITH FUNEAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe is care of arrangements. Those wishing to donate in memory of Joan are asked to consider Parkview Meadows Christian Retirement Village.
