Joan Gustitus
1931-2025
Following a brief illness, Joan Mary Gustitus of Tobique First Nation,
NB, passed away peacefully at the Grand Falls General Hospital on
April 20, 2025.
Joan was born in Tobique First Nation, NB on May 13, 1931. She was the
daughter of the late Andrew and Louise (Ennis) Moulton. Joan leaves
behind her children, Veronica Wolfeagle of Tobique First Nation, NB,
Andrew Gustitus of Woodstock, NB, and George Gustitus Jr. of Tobique
First Nation, NB, and Tony Gustitus (Rhonda) of North Port, FL; her
grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Alisha, Anthony, and Danielle; her
great grandchildren, Cameron, Dylan, Eric Jr., and Vanessa; and her
great great grandchildren, Christopher, Brooks, and Hannah; along with
several nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by her parents; her husband, George Gustitus Sr.;
her sister, Pauline Polchies; her brothers, Franklin, Donald
“Spike”, and Clarence Moulton.
Resting at the Paul Pyres Community Hall with visitation on Friday
from 10 am until 1 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April
25, 2025 at 1:30 pm from St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Tobique First
Nation, NB. Father Curtis Sappier celebrating. Interment will be in
the parish cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Tobique Food Bank would
be appreciated by the family.
