Surrounded by her loving family, Marjorie Joan Campbell (nee Reynolds) passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the age of 87.
Joan was the beloved mother of Linda Campbell and Bryan Campbell (Charu) and the cherished grandma of Riley, Brayden, Trystan, and Imani. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She is also deeply missed by her furry friend Charlie.
Joan was predeceased by her father Frank, sister Barbara, mother Lottie, and brother Bud. Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing they are all together again.
Mom would have been so incredibly proud of her granddaughter Riley who performed CPR until the paramedics arrived. They shared a very special relationship and it comes as no surprise that she was there when mom needed her most.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the paramedics and firefighters who responded on the morning of December 24th. You will forever be heroes to us. You brought our mom back and gave us six more precious days with her.
We would also like to thank the ICU nurses at Brockville General Hospital for keeping mom comfortable during her final days.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
