Ashton, Joan Barbara (nee Facey), passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Sunday January 26th,2025 in her 94th year.
Joan Facey, beloved wife of the late Kenneth “Ken””Meco” Henry Ashton. Loving mother of Wendy (Bob), Stephen and the late Kathi Anderson. Mother-in-law of Neil Anderson and Teri-Jo Collina. Grandmother of Shaun White (Jazmine), Ashley White (Gareth), Lindsey, Lee and Adam Anderson (Cheri) and Riley Ashton. Great Grandma (G.G.) of Frances, Lachlan and Lennon. Sister of the late Gwen Linton (the late Robert). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg and Port Hope Extendicare for all their support and care of Mom. And a big thank-you to all the staff and residents at the Roseglen Village in Port Hope for their help, good humour and companionship during her stay there.
A celebration of life for Mom will take place in the spring.
