Passed away peacefully in Leamington after a long illness on January 26, 2025, at age 79. Dear wife of the late James “Jim” Herbert (2000). Daughter of the late Finley and Elsie Munroe. Cherished mother of Jeff Herbert (Delia), John Herbert, and Jason Herbert (Cathy). Loving grandma of James and Rebecca. Sister of Gerald Munroe (Jane), and the late John Munroe and Rick Munroe (Julie). Sister-in-law of the late Leo Herbert (Margaret), Norm Herbert (Marge), and Ida McIntyre (Eddie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jo-Anne’s passion in life was to be with and take care of her family. Jim and Jo-Anne were always together, and she was devasted when he passed away in 2000. We feel some sort of comfort knowing that the two of them are now back together. Jo-Anne was known for her unique sense of humour and playing practical jokes on some of her closest friends, as well as playing Yahtzee, Aggravation and cards whenever she had the opportunity.
Family and friends are invited to gather to support one another at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North Es on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 11 a.m. until time of a celebration service at 12:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Diabetes Canada.
