Jim Morris met his Lord and Savior peacefully on Friday March 14, 2025, one year after brain surgery. Jim was able to be at home with family up until the week before his death.
Loved by so many – Married to his wife Darlene for over 46 years, soulmate and love of her life. Father to Jim Jr. (Becky), and Holly DeBoer (Tom). Grandfather to three grandchildren. Brother to Dan, Tim, Lynn, and Teri. Brother-in-law to Randy and Holly.
Jim will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and his quick wit right up until close to the end. His cherished lifelong friends will remember him for fishing, and his incredible passion for hunting and depth of knowledge. Our family could also rely on his ability to help us correct our golf swing. Jim was good at everything. I told him he was an “Honorary Farmer”, as he was always out at our neighbour’s helping whenever he was needed. Jim was a “one of a kind” all around great guy, and a devoted Leaf’s fan, still hoping he would finally see them win the cup.
A Celebration of Jim’s life will take place at Fairview Baptist Church in Lindsay at a later date.
