It is with broken hearts that the family of the late James ‘Jim’ Xavier Lake of Rushoon, NL announces his passing. Jim passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank, NL on January 8, 2025 at the age of 88. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Martha of 63 years; children, Gary Lake (Leona) of Baine Harbour, Juanita Pittman (Darren) of Marystown, Rick Lake of High River, AB, Sherry Lake of Rushoon, Jimmy Lake (Lori) of Sackville, NS, Todd Lake (Paula) of Little Bay; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer (Mohamed), Gary, Candace (Tyler), Samantha (Mark)(, Angelina (Dylan), Grace, Noah, Benjamin, Ava, Ricky (Alicia), Raeleigh (Matt), Joey, Max, Alicia; 13 great-grandchildren, Hanna, Yaseen, Keray, Safia, Mariam, Madison, Kayden, Elizabeth, Kylie, Violet, Austin, Braedy, Lilah; his wife Martha’s brothers & sisters and families; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Jim was predeceased by his grandson, Reggie; granddaughter, Brooklyn; parents, Archibald & Mary J Lake; sisters, Margaret Healey (Jim), Matilda Hynes (Pat), Ann Barron (Fergus), Martha Pevie (Benjamin), Carmel Lake, Eliza Lake; brothers, Ambrose Lake, William Lake (Margaret), Edward Lake (Rita); parents-in-law, John & Elizabeth Lake; and his wife Martha’s brothers & sisters.
