James Allan ‘Jim’ Boyko of Sarnia passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the age of 72.
Son of the late June (Stevens) Szmolka and John Boyko, and predeceased also by his sister Cathy Boyko.
Brother of Debbie Boyko of Kitchener, and Jack Boyko of Thailand, and remembered by his many Boyko cousins including Rick, George, Star, Bonnie, Darlene, Brian, Michael, and Marsha. Nephew of Carol Salter, Betty Dennison, Helen Machan, Boyce and Suzie Stevens, and Bernice Burke. Loved by his many nieces and nephews, including Damon Boyko and wife Allison, Sean Boyko and wife Christina, and Kora Boyko, and by their children Michael, Danika, Emerson, and Jinnia.
Jim was a man you could always count on. He would lend a hand for his friends, family, and neighbours without hesitation. Jim loved fishing and boating with his good friends. He was itching to go one more time and managed to get his fishing gear in the trunk.
He liked the old cars and had his heart set on a beauty. Jim found peace in gardening and took pride in sharing the harvest. He enjoyed long drives with a friend or 2, a good campfire, the great outdoors, BBQs, and playing Euchre. He was ever hopeful in winning the big on his scratch tickets. He watched cooking shows and would try new recipes which had to have his garlic… fried chicken being one of his favorites. Jim also enjoyed the comfort of a little rye, now & then… savoring life’s simple pleasures.
Please join Jim’s family as they celebrate his life at Moose Lodge #1205, 6 Weston St., London, on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
