On Sunday March 2nd, surrounded by family and love, Jerry peacefully passed away at the age of 82.
Over the years, Jerry was a heavy duty mechanic, Nait heavy equipment instructor, security guard, an outdoorsman, hunter, hobbyist, tinkerer, husband, brother, father and perhaps his favourite of all, a grandpa.
An avid amateur (ham) radio operator, he spent countless hours conversing with his brother Jim and later enjoyed running and checking in on various ham radio nets over the years.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Linda, daughter Holly (David), son Shane (Kailey), grandchildren Eric,Teagan, Brendan and Tristan, along with many extended family and friends.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 2:00pm, 2025 March 15, at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd, Sherwood Park. A light lunch will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, or to an animal rescue of choice.
