It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Jeffrey Peter Hickey at his home on April 21, 2025 at the young age of 60. Loving and devoted father of JD (Elvira) and step daughter Chelsea. Loved and cherished son of Jackie Walters and the late Leo Hickey. Beloved brother of Kelly (Sander). He will be missed by his best friend and cousin Michael Peace (Mary Ellen) and Michelle Peace. Also remembered by his step sister Karen Harris. Adored by his Grandma and Grandpa, the late Mary and Donald Peace. Jeff will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Jeff was an avid golfer, fisherman, die hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and an amazing cook/baker especially with his delicious pies and cheesecakes. He was a great driver with many years experience knowing every road like the back of his hand. Jeff was a kind soul with a generous heart of gold. He knew the importance of enjoying life and having fun. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honour of knowing him. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Sunday May 4th from 2-4 p.m. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.dermodys.com
