JEAN MARGARET WOOTTON
Peacefully, with loved ones around her, our remarkable mother passed away on May 1/2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London,Ontario. She was 96 years old.
Pre-deceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Joseph Wootton and daughter Sandra Berger. Jean leaves behind daughter Karen Wood (husband Kevin Wood) of London, Ontario and son David Wootton (partner Peter Mastrangelo) of Toronto, Ontario. Jean will be fondly missed by her 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and many friends whom she cherished at home and afar.
Jean was born in Stoke-on-Trent, UK in 1928 and moved to Ontario, Canada with family in-towin 1958. Jean worked in various occupations throughout her life from lithographing in the Potteries, social work and finally landing a lifetime career in retail where she retired from Sears Canada at 67 years old.
She spent her life enjoying it to the fullest, travelling, dancing and socializing. She was creative, inspiring, always laughing and always up for a good time. She was loved dearly and will be missed. There will be a celebration of life at a later date this summer!
