Obituary of Jean Marie Rioux
Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the age of 80. John leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia, daughters Tammy Laliberte (Ron), Kim Holmberg (Gene) and his grandchildren Isiah Holmberg, Liam Thibault, Sophie Thibault and Chloe Thibault. Predeceased by his parents Alice and David Rioux. Brother of the late Anne Marie, Paul (late Barbara), Phil (Pam), Jacques (Cindy). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
John worked until he turned 79 doing what he loved most – being a machine operator. When he wasn’t working, he was fortunate enough to enjoy travelling through the years with Pat and enjoying his love for casinos. In his down time, he enjoyed puzzles, playing on his tablet and watching his grandson play hockey.
He will be forever missed by his family and friends but will always be in our hearts.
As per John’s wishes no visitation or service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
