Jean McDonald Terrault, age 89, of Sturgeon County passed away on December 23rd, 2024.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, David; her daughter, Helen; son, Paul; and her brother, Gordon. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Norah (Rom), Jocelyn (Paul), Philip (Sandra), Peter, Perry (Nathalie), Mary (Ryan), Donna; and daughter-in-law, Angel as well as 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Jean was born October 24,1935 to James and Catherine Sharp from Edmonton. She married David Toussaint Terrault in 1956 and moved to a farm in Volmer (later to become Sturgeon County) where they raised eight children and built a successful grain farm and thriving poultry business. Jean was the perfect partner to her husband David – hard-working, dedicated to family and farm, and bringing light and love to all those within her orbit. She was known for her hearty laugh, welcoming table and ‘you’re one of the family” attitude. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, golfing, and card nights with friends, but especially loved the big family get-togethers, including the “Terrault” family reunions. Throughout the years, her faith provided strength, and she enjoyed contributing to the St. Albert Parish through the Catholic Women’s League and serving as a lector. Jean will be dearly missed but her love of family, friends and life will endure forever.
Reverend Jack Herklotz, OMI will celebrate a Funeral Mass at St. Albert Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 7, 2024 at 11:00AM, with Interment to follow at St. Albert Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in honor of Jean to the St. Albert Catholic Parish .
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home.
